Barn Charm

It was a dull and foggy morning when I took this shot in Amish country. Cornshocks are in most of the fields.  The red barn is badly in need of paint.  I love the blue colored laundry on the clothesline strung on the front porch. Amish country is like stepping back in time....

I'll bet the laundry is frozen. I would have thought the Amish would have kept up their paint on their barns better than most people, but it looks like they are just like the rest of the country's farmers.

I've seen cornshocks before, but i don't know what purpose they serve, so i'll have to look up that one. The barn is beautiful, esp the red in contrast to the snow.

thanks a bunch for joining =)

I love visiting the Amish country in our area and seeing the way they put up corn in the rows and rows of shocks. Nice scene!
