The Blue Angels returned to the Dayton Air Show this summer demonstrating a mix of amazing maneuvers and precision flying. I posted more photos from the air show here.More blue photos are at The Dusty Cellar.

Great photo for Midweek Blues. Those air shows are truly breathtaking. I've not had the pleasure of seeing the Blue Angels but a friend from college flew with the Air Force Thunderbirds and I go to see one of their shows one time.

they sure are something!!
when I lived in Brooklyn they performed at Coney Island every July 4th weekend and for days before they would zoom around doing practice runs
made the house shake and I was miles away
but the sound was exhilarating

your photo is perfect

A great shot!

I have a couple of signed posters of the Blue Angels pilots!

I love to see videos of the shows-tho I have never actually seen one in person.

I saw them years ago over Norfolk, Va.
Looking at your photo I can almost hear the swooshing sound.
We've had lots of interesting blues over the weeks but I'm not sure anyone can top this shot Carol!

I'm partial to blue and gold together as well - the colors of both my high school and college. :)

Incredible shots of the airplanes, must be a lot of fun in the air show. Love the pictures of the fountain too.

Its been ages since I have seen the Blue Angels. There used to be an Naval Air field nearby, but it is now closed. I remember the thrill of their roaring engines overhead.
