Z...is for Zoo

Zoo birds ....the flamingoes are beautiful with their long necks and long legs. This one kept his eye on me.
Not sure if this is a bad hair day or a good hair day...

This ends another round of ABC Wednesday. Click on the sidebar for more of the letter Z.

Wonderful, colourful birds, Carol!I have read somewhere that flamingoes get their colour by the food they are fed. Parrots are very gorgeous birds. but the sound they produce is far less beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

Colorful birds. Zoos have to be a cool place to visit! Where else could many of us see these wondrous things?

Gorgeous photos, Carol! These bright colors are so welcome on this gray and white day. I love watching the exotic birds preen and "strut their stuff."

My, those flamingoes are orange!!

The crowned crane reminds me of a photo I have of our younger son standing nose to nose with one at a wildfowl trust site where they were roaming free. Gives me palpitations now, but I had no idea at the time that they were aggressive birds who could take your eye out!
