Sunday

St. Francis Church in the little town of Cranberry Prairie is a High Victorian Gothic Revival structure with a spire rising 110 ft.
A peek inside....

I never expected the inside to look like it does! Just amazing, proving that the outside of ANYTHING doesn't reflect what is inside. Thanks Carol!

Dear Carol,

I'm so surprised by the interior of this church. Judging by the interior, there seems to be dome as well that isn't visible from the exterior shot.

I collect church pictures whenever I travel and I would love to see this one, in all of it's seasons. This month it is purple. On Christmas day it will change. Lent and Easter must be equally as beautiful.

Merry Christmas,
Annie

I am also surprised at the interior of this church! What a pleasant experience it must be to walk through those doors! Gorgeous captures of both inside and out!

LOVE the older, traditional churches - beautiful... makes me want to go back to Rome. =)

Indeed a beautiful church. Upon enlarging it, I was pleased to find my Carmelite sister, Therese, on the high altar. I couldn't quite make out the statue on the right - Aloysius Gonzaga or Dominic Savio, perhaps. Happy 4th Sunday of Advent.
