Snow in My World

A light snow blanketed Dayton ( S.W. Ohio) this weekend, just enough to transform the ordinary into a winter-wonderland.

Carol, as a desert rat, I must ask - what are the red berries? Love the feeling these photos leave me with - WINTER!

I love these! I especially like the second one, the way the grasses are leaning over. The tones are beautiful with the snow. Those red berries, in the first one, are striking with the snow. What a beautiful scene. Our mountains have snow but, we haven't been up there since the snow fell. Merry Christmas!

Beautiful! I love the red berries starkly contrasting with the snow.

Brenda, this is Winterberry Holly, and it 'blooms' with berries all winter.

Carol, these images are so restful and pure-looking. The grasses in the second one reminds me of our own indigenous setaria.

Very lovely snaps. Those red flowers against the white background of snow are beautiful.

These are exquisite shots. So beautiful and cheerful. I love how you can see the red in the first one and the tall grasses in the second as well as the snow.

Beautiful captures! I don't know which I like better, the red berries against the snow or the dry grass weighed down by the snow.

I have to agree with Martha Z, can't decide which shot I like the best -- the red berries are in such sharp contrast against the snow, but I love the dry grass, too. Regardless, they're both terrific!

Wishing you a very joyous holiday season!

The red berries in the first photo are wonderful with the white snow and the wooden benches. Yes, it does look like a winter wonderland.

So pretty! Snow is so nice to look at as long as I don't have to be IN it! Do check out my blog, Carol. ;)

A beautiful snowfall...just in time for Christmas.

Thanks for answering my question about the other statue. I'll have to look up a little something on St. Gaspar.

I've met several people from West Virginia and I like wild and wonderful fit very well. The photos are lovely. The last one reminds me of a Bev Doolittle painting.
