Skywatch

Roadside captures...two more shots taken while driving home from NC. I always leave before daylight; and once the sun begins to rise, I frequently stop to take a few shots. The low morning sun lit up the top of these grasses.
This scene is on the left side of the grass above.
Visit Skywatch to see skies from around the world. Happy New Year!

Again that glorious light and the pampas grass looks like a haystack straight out of an Impressionist painting.

OOH, I love them both but the first is my favorite. I love the colors - again, it looks fall'ish rather than the drab of winter. Good warm feeling. :)

Happy New Year.

I especially love the second shot -- the lighting is amazing. Were you still in NC when you took that picture?

The lighting you captured these scenes in is fantastic! Nothing beats early morning/late afternoon sunlight. That tree in the second shot is especially appealing. What tranquil scenes they are! Happy new year to you too!

There is nothing like low morning light to add pizzaz to any shot. These are truely outstanding!

What a glorious drive that must have been. A long trip doesn't seem so monotonous when you are looking for scenes to stop and photograph. This was a sight to stop for, no doubt. Beautiful light and soft colors...lovely.
