Roadside captures...two more shots taken while driving home from NC. I always leave before daylight; and once the sun begins to rise, I frequently stop to take a few shots. The low morning sun lit up the top of these grasses.
This scene is on the left side of the grass above.

Wild and Wonderful

Crossing into West Virginia, the welcome sign greeted me to "Wild and Wonderful West Virginia". I didn't find out what was so wild and wonderful but loved the sign. While driving through on the interstate, I noticed a golden dome gleaming in the sun. I took the next exit and went to investigate. The building is the State Capital, the tallest building in W.V.
This is the beautiful dome that I spotted from the interstate.

First Baptist Church of Dayton is located in the heart of downtown Dayton. I particularly like the yellow brick building combined with a red roof.

Union Terminal

Cincinnati's magnificent art deco style railroad terminal building is now the home of Cincinnati Museum Center. Visitors approach the massive 10 story, arched, limestone and glass east facade of the building through a quarter mile plaza.
The main concourse (rotunda) interior dome spans 180 ft. with a clear height of 106 ft.
German artist Winhold Reiss designed two 22 ft. high 110 ft. long color mosaic murals.
The terminal now holds a history and science museum, children's museum, omnimax theater, a historical library, and an operating Amtrak passenger service.
