Riverscape Metropark

Riverscape Metropark in the heart of downtown Dayton is a favorite community gathering place.

There are year round activities at Riverscape including summer concerts, major community festivals, and winter ice skating.
Located along the Great Miami River, this urban park is an excellent place to watch migratory and resident birds.
The bicycle and walking paths encourage family outings.

That sure looks like a nice place. I bet the lots of local office workers enjoy their lunch there.

This looks like a pretty, well-tended park. A lot of cities have riverwalks, which always makes a great place to hang out and enjoy nature, even in a metro area.

I am so glad to see so many cities doing this type of thing. Creating green spaces for everyone's use is great. Perfect photos and good choice of the letter R.

Looks like a lovely place for a stroll or a bike ride. Or even sit and reflect on the view or life itself. :D

Looking at the open spaces, walkway and water I can just imagine all the fun activities that can be organised there.

Lovely and peaceful! It looks a lot like Peterborough, England, where there are several riverside parks, and the countryside is just as flat.

You've captured a lovely light. :)

Beautiful scenery, Carol! It's great that so many birds are around to watch in the middle of the city.

Enjoyed your last post of the scenes from Amish country. Farmers here are getting so anxious to harvest the rest of the corn--it's been too wet--but at least they have huge machinery to harvest it with.
