Owl and Orange

When I was in Hueston State Park this summer, this owl flew right across my path. I was so surprised I almost didn't get a shot since he perched for only a minute before he flew off.
Our fall has been so beautiful that I had to post this orange foliage.
More ABC photos are waiting on the sidebar...

Beautiful owl. he looks a little sleepy. That flame orange tree is just amazing.
No snow here at home yet. The snow in my post was from a ski tour last Christmas.

PS: the orange dot in the landscape was my "Little Brother" A.J. Click to enlarge and you can almost see him for the fine young man he is!

How privileged you are to see and shoot an owl. I have not seen obe for over 20 years except flying across the road at night when driving.
Splendid leaves...

What a great shot of the owl, Carol. The fall color this year has been gorgeous; your photos really captured this so well. I had trouble getting the hot, hot orange of the maples to show up on my camera.

That tree is just gorgeous! Beautiful..

I love both photos for "O". Capturing an owl with a camera is not easy! (or any other way for that matter) Beautiful little guy! And, that tree is ablaze with color! Beautiful!

Your Owl is fantastic. I hear the owls but seldom see one...You were lucky he landed for a quick photo.
The oranges have been outstanding this year. I think this has been the most beautiful October I have ever seen.
Happy O!

Outstanding Carol. The tree is amazing as is the owl that allowed you to capture his picture.

Amazing shot of the owl, Carol. How in the world did you get him to pose so proudly. The tree beautiful as well, it looks like a painting.

Superb Owl capture! Love your oranges, too. A killing frost here early October claimed most of our color.
