Junk

I spotted this little tower from the interstate, and I quickly exited to investigate...

So much stuff everywhere....not sure what this is.... (notice the chickens )...
Just looks like a bunch of junk to me....
This post is related to the previous post....
More ABC on the side bar....

The machine is a scraper that was used to straighten road surfaces at some stage it would have been drawn by a steam traction engine. if that was in the UK it would have been made to look new and put on show. even taken to a steam rally.

It's funny how even junk in the right setting can look interesting if not pretty! But the setting is lovely!! Terrific shots, Carol!

Have a great day!

The second one might have been a modern decoration...

Or maybe it had been junked.

Cool junk. I love the previous blog as well.

And still junk can look good. Mind you, it would depend on the junk though!

There must have been a community with a lot of people working here! What happened?

Junk is the perfect find for someone with a serious camera! Makes for a great photo and you captured it beautifully!

How does man manage to accumulate so much junk?
Makes for interesting photos and a good J, though!

Looks like someone has tried to organize all that junk...but for what?!

I like the word 'junk'. Nice pictures - I love the last one with the trees! Very neat.

Well, as Paul Simon once said: "One man's ceiling is another man's floor." Some of it might be functional or at least salvageable, I would think. Nice pics, BTW.

It's such picturesque junk though, isn't it? Well spotted!

I've missed your last couple of ABC posts for some reason, Carol, and now I know why--you've been on vacation! Hope you had a wonderful time.

Such interesting photos today. They really remind me of the old saying about "one man's trash..." I've seen rusted farm implements used so often as "garden art"; I think the owners of this property might be able to make a few pennies selling this "junk" if they tried.

Junk is always interesting to me. I love to poke around in it. Looks as if there are some nice antiques hidden away!
Nice photographs.

Looks like a lifetimes collection and strangely compelling. Must have been someone who lived by the 'might come in handy sometime' motto but them time ran out.

it looks like interesting junk, at least.
though I am glad it's not in my yard!

Someone's junk can be someone else's treasure, and a just yard can also be so photogenic.
