Fields

F.... is for fields.... corn fields...

Ohio farmers could see record yields this year due to ample rain and cooler-than-normal temperatures.
Some stalks are producing two ears per stalk which is pretty uncommon. Corn fields are plentiful all over Ohio.

And I love corn! My mother used to plant corn in our backyard, so we also had ample supply of food to eat. I ate more corn in my life than rice I could imagine!

I love cornfields. We have even corn here in the Netherlands since a few years. Thanks for your visit and kind comment.

Nice shots! Funny I looked at corn fields yesterday but couldn't find a place to park to take the pix!

Really great pictures! I think I appreciate them more since I don't drive by corn fields all the time anymore. Makes me kinda miss them... =)

Corn fields should be seen all over easily in Europe and in the US. We loved the fresh corn from the local market. But, we have never really seen the large corn field in person. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, these photos are fantastic! I am happy to hear that harvest is good, as food is scarce in other parts of the world.

Great shots of the corn fields. Looks like farmers here in Ontario should have a fine crop too.

Ah, field crops!! We don't grow fields of sweet corn over here, though people do sometimes plant it on their allotments. It looks such an interesting crop .. and more so this year, apparently! Two ears per stalk! Double the yield!

Great photos, Carol, and a perfect choice for the letter F. I've taken some pictures of our corn fields, too--it has been a good year for the crops; I think the corn this year is taller than I've ever seen it. And after driving through some pretty desolate areas on the way West this past week, I have to admit corn and soybean fields look pretty darned good to me!

Fields of corn. I love your photos. It's so nice to see agriculture. I'm so tired of looking at the desert that all of these photos are inspiring to me. I really like the photo in your header.

Wonderful photographs of the fields of corn. Sometimes I like to take day drives into the country just to see "food growing". I have a feeling that all is well as long as the feilds are full of corn and wheat....

It definitely looks as if there will be a good corn crop this year. I don't see as many corn fields down here in Tennessee as I used to see in Indiana and Ohio. Thanks for the memories.
