Skywatch

The end of another day in Amish Country. These railings are a frequent site throughout the town. I am amazed at how long the horses stand waiting.

I love this shot and it is amazing how patiently the horses wait.

Beautiful photo. The horses probably don't mind standing around if other horses are near. Our horses stand around in the pasture near the fence so they can be close to the neighbors' horses and have more of a "herd."

This is simply beautiful. The silhouette of the horses is really nice against that lighting.

BTW, I love your header image.

Great silhouette - horses getting the last sun on their backs!

Great shot. The silhouette's of the horses, the clouds, blue sky, and the sun rays. It all works together.

Carol: Ohio certainly is known for the Amish area, neat photo.

Great shot!

Once the horses are in harness, what are they going to do? They can't leave as they are tied up. And they certainly cannot lie down. So, what else are they to do except wait? It is the owners that should be taken to task if they abuse their animals without shade, rest, exercise, water or food if they are made to wait for long periods of time. Just giving them water would be a great act of kindness.

This is really good. I like the contrasts of light and dark.

Seems like a horse has nothing better to do than stand around watching us watch them.

What an incredibly beautiful photo! The darker the silhouettes the bluer the sky! Stunning composition! Thanks for your visit!
