W...Is For

Wires...I usually try to avoid all types of wires as they make a photo "messy"....but this week I went looking for them....and they were easy to find in Holmes County..

I like the combination of the 'new' wires and the 'old' horse and buggy. A great contrast!

A weary horse or a wiry one? Anyway it's beautiful!

I come to just ignore the wires, they are what Photoshop for, stamp them out latter on the computer. I like your house and buggy though.

Nice shots, even with the invasive wires!

Very original post. That never crossed my mind. Great photos, especially the buggy.

I know what you mean about wires getting in the way! But I love the juxtaposition of the wires with the old-fashioned buggy!

I, too, like the horse and buggy contrast.

Is the horse and buggy Amish? I don't know why I ask that, it just popped into my head!

Wires - that's a good one. ;)

agree totaly with you - I usually try to avoid all types of wires as they make a photo "messy". MB

But today we want them to be there... W

First photo - wires lead my attention directly on village.

Second photo - wires with a road's line and field's line, parts photo on sections.

I like both :)

I agree with the others that the power lines make an interesting contrast with the horse and buggy. I seem to have wires in all my photos of scenery, too, and am always trying for a different angle.

I really enjoy the way you used the wires as the theme...
They frame the second photograph perfectly. In the first photo I like the way the wires lead my eye...nice work...

Nicely done--I can almost hear that horse clopping along. Wires is a perfect w for today. Don't you love birds on a wire too?
Thanks for sharing.

Ah wires thats a good one, a nice feature. Quite a liberating change from trying to avoid them.

I have to agree with others, who thought that W for wires was cleverly thought out.
I also like the idea of having wires and horse carriage in same photograph, because they create nice contrast to each others.

Great photos, in spite of the 'messy' wires. Sometimes they are unavoidable. I like the view of the countryside beyond the wires in the first - and of course, the contrast of the horse and buggy against the wires.

Incongruous combo - the Amish buggy and wires. Wonderful photos!

I love the photo of all the horse buggies. It must be so interesting to live near them all the time.

The second is a great photo! I know what you mean about wires - there are so many these days it can be almost impossible to to avoid them.
