interesting. reminds me of my area with so many evergreens, only the occasional tree goes through changes.

Nice to watch the aspens and other deciduous trees turn golden against a backdrop of evergreens. We also have one conifer, the larch (aka tamarack) that turns golden--see http://ecorover.blogspot.com/2008/10/montanas-alpine-larch.html .
