No hunting

I think these young elk must have known that no hunting was allowed...they were unconcerned with people...
They slowly crossed the road...and stopped traffic in both directions....
No one seemed to mind...we were not hunting...but a few of us were shooting...
Many more photos at ABC Wednesday....

We have Caribou and moose, but no Elk. these elk behave a lot like our Caribou. They graze on the side of the road and do not care about traffic. These are smart Elk to hang out by a no hunting sign. Great post.

They're certainly unconcerned. The elk we see in the mountains around here are usually quite wary. But then, we do have plenty of hunters in Utah.

This reminds me of the TV Series Nothern Exposure when the Moose just used to wander around town. No hunting, quite right. Love the idea of moose on loose, and no fear.

That's the best type of 'shooting'! :)

They know they're safe, don't they? Look at them wandering about. LOL!

I always suspected elk could read. Grin. Beautiful shots!

Definitely one for me - the only hunting I'm for is the one with the camera!

Well I didn't know elk could read! ;) Smart critters to stay on the right side of the sign.
