C is for Colorado

My favorite place to visit is the beautiful state of Colorado, home to Rocky Mountain National Park with its forests, streams, lakes and meadows.  The entire park is a wildlife refuge, and elk are pretty commonplace.  This herd was unconcerned with visitors...

Beautiful scene of the elk in the meadow with the mountains behind. Colorado is hard to beat for beautiful scenery.

I would love to visit Colorado someday. Love the mountains. It stays pretty flat here in Florida. :)

You surly capture the feeling of America's great west. For many people, it is the true America.

This is beautiful, we don't have to travel to far away places to see beauty.

I've always wanted to visit Colorado. One of my good friends goes at least once a year and even has Rocky Mountain Park abbreviated on her license plate:)

Great shot. I'm a city girl and I can't imagine seeing those elk just grazing like that. Awesome!

Marvellous scenery Carol. If I ever make it over the pond, that's another place to add to my long list of sights that I would love to see :)

I love your C and D posts!!! I've lived about 3/4 of my life in Colorado (I only left for college and grad school), and RMNP is one of my favorite places. It always thrills me to see other people express the same appreciation for Colorado's natural beauty that I feel :)
