ABC Wednesday B is for Bird

These are lovebirds... smaller members of the parrot family... called lovebirds because they revel in living with a life partner... constantly together preening, billing and cooing...... taken at the Cincinnati Zoo...

My grandmother used to have parrots and canaries, lo those many years ago. Your post gave me pleasant memories.
BTW, both one of best friend and my wife are named Carol.

They are indeed lovely...I can't wait for the snow to clear...I miss waking to the sounds of the birds in the early spring mornings!

Lovebirds are so beautiful--and noisy. This was a 'telling' photo too.
p.s. Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning is in my top 10 favorite books.

Ah, they are adorable little things! I went to Xavier for four years, and never once went to the Cincinnati Zoo! Your pictures are such a beautiful reminder of what the woods are like there.. and they make me wish I'd gone to Charleston Falls! Someday when I'm back for a visit I'll have to go :)

These are lovely, and they DO look like lovebirds:) I had thought about including a bird photo, too, but I can never get a good close-up. Great picture!

Such pretty little things, aren't they? And quite devoted. Do they pine if they lose their partners, as swans do?

On behalf of the team, thank you for taking part in ABC Wednesday! See you next week?
